for many of the younger monks this was their first year to go. and they were very excited. I was excited for them as well.
as a lay practitioner and one receiving the benefit of these prayers I think it is an incredible thing that so many take the time to do this, and not for themselves but for all sentient beings. I am very grateful for this wonderful festival done each year.

How wonderful for all of you! What a blessing this year has turned into for you. I'm wondering if we'll get to see your return -- or if you're having such a wonderful time that you'll stay!
ReplyDeleteOH Chris we weren't able to attend the Monlam I just posted these pictures of Abhaya RInpoche from some that were given to me by his teacher Gen. Kunsangla ( I think you met him when he came to Seattle.
ReplyDeleteBut your right, what a wonderful time that would have been. I am including in the blog anything connected with the activities any of the Sakya Phuntsok Phodrang Lamas and the Monks of Sakya Heritage Society so everyone can see the activities that go on here in India : )
